More Vitamin D
Until today, what I knew about Vitamin D I could fit into a thimble. I knew the sun is the primary source for Vitamin D, and, coupled with calcium, it is an attribute of strong bones.
I saw my doctor last week for an ailment and, following some blood tests, learned that I have a Vitamin D deficiency. So I was prescribed mega-doses of D to take over the next 12 weeks, then we'll test my blood for Vitamin D levels again.
Learning of this vitamin deficiency has certainly given me reason to reassess how I spend my time. And I have a feeling there may be more changes than I originally anticipated, all in the spirit of good health and a balanced life.
