How to Observe Thanksgiving, A Poem
I found this poem yesterday and think it serves as a good reminder that we are able to choose our perspective on life. Simply put, this poem reminds us to be optimistic and to be thankful for what we do have rather than what we don't have. Although Thanksgiving is still a week away, it's never too soon to adopt this attitude.
HOW TO OBSERVE THANKSGIVING
Count your blessings instead of your crosses;
Count your gains instead of your losses.
Count your joys instead of your woes;
Count your friends instead of your foes.
Count your smiles instead of your tears;
Count your courage instead of your fears.
Count your full years instead of your lean;
Count your kind deeds instead of your mean.
Count your health instead of your wealth;
Count on God instead of yourself.
